Deadline Extended: Submissions Open for Conference Proceedings 2025-2026!!!
Dear Graduate Students,
The YU-WRITE: Journal of Graduate Student Research in Education is calling for papers for our 2025-2026 conference proceedings issue. We are accepting conference papers from any conference you have presented in the 2025-2026 academic year, so long as it has not been published previously (i.e., AERA paper repository). Our extended* deadline for submissions is June 1st, 2026, at 11:59 pm EST (Toronto time).

Publishing Schedule:
Manuscripts Due to Journal: Monday, June 1st 2026 (submit under Conference Proceedings)
Review #1 Response: Monday, June 8, 2026 - revisions due within 2 weeks (June 23)
Review #2 Response: Monday, June 29, 2026 - revisions due within 2 weeks (July 14)
Review #3 Response (if applicable): Monday, July 20, 2026 - revisions due within 1 week (July 28)
Copyediting Process: from Monday, August 3, 2026 - Friday, September 18, 2026
Final Manuscript Preparations: Monday, September 28, 2026
Publication Date: Monday, October 5, 2026
YU-WRITE is a student-run, non-profit, open-access journal aiming to spotlight graduate students' research in education. It was founded in 2022 at York University's Faculty of Education, aiming to support the writing development of graduate students at York University and beyond.
Conference proceedings are academic articles that emerged from conferences you may have presented in the 2025-2026 year. Conference proceedings are 2000-3000 words (not including references). Submissions must include the general submission requirements.
If you presented a Creative Work, Poster, etc. OR if just responding to your conference session (like a structured reflection) authors/creators can choose to submit one of the following:
2000-3000 word (not including references) paper.
250-500 words short feature (can include image of poster/creative work).
Keynote presenters may also submit to the journal, please ensure that your papers have proper citations and references. Headings and subheadings may be used to provide flow. Keynote submissions can also submit their PPT as a visual component to the manuscript.
